Security researcher Chaotic Eclipse released a proof-of-concept for ShieldBreak, a Microsoft Defender zero-day that bypasses a patch for CVE-2026-50656 (RoguePlanet, CVSS 7.8). The flaw grants SYSTEM-level access on Windows systems. The researcher, also known as INFINITE NIGHTMARE, MSNightmare, and Nightmare-Eclipse, demonstrated the exploit as a patch bypass for the earlier RoguePlanet vulnerability.
